Possible Specifications and Upgrades in iPhone 13
Design similar to iPhone 12
Though Apple doesn’t offer a complete makeover kind of upgrades in its new iPhones, when compared to the previous ones, except for iPhone 12, the iPhone 13 could also meet the same fate.
According to the leaked reports by MacRumors, given the massive change in the design and look of the iPhone 12, which was released last year in November, the iPhone 13 would more or less look similar to its predecessor.
That is, 5.4-inch & 6.1-inch for base variants and 6.1-inch & 6.7-inch for PRO variants.
Comparatively smaller notch
With every new iPhone, the notch remains the most discussed amongst other updates.
As expected, people have started predicting that iPhone 13 may surprise everyone with a notch-less display.
If you were also thinking the same, then perhaps we have sad news.
It isn’t iPhone 13, but iPhone 14 that would come with a notch-less design and is being called the modern iPhone 4.
However, the report that mentioned the notch-less iPhone 14 clearly states that the notchless aspect is not yet confirmed.
Coming back to 2021, the iPhone 13, unlike the leaked notch-less iPhone 14, would have a smaller notch than iPhone 12.
ProMotion 120 Hz Refresh Rate
Let us start from the beginning; a refresh rate is nothing but the measurement of a phone’s display ability to update the screen quickly, leading to a smoother display.
Measured in Hertz(Hz), a high refresh rate, such as that of speculated iPhone 13, 120 Hz, would mean a clearer and smoother quality of on-screen content than the last iPhone 12, which had a 60 Hz refresh rate.
However, if the ProMotion 120 Hz refresh rate is true for iPhone 13, it would be only offered in the Pro variants.
Better Battery
Although with the 120Hz Refresh Rate, the battery consumption would likely be high in the Pro variants of iPhone 13, reports suggest that all variants are likely to see improved battery life compared to the predecessors.
The PRO variants could likely see an elevation upto 20% in the battery life, whereas the base variants could stay one hour longer than the previous ones.
Improved Camera Quality and Features
Apple has never compromised and lets us down with its camera quality and constant updates.
For instance, the iPhone 12 undoubtedly outshined the majority of the high megapixel phones in the market.
Besides its marvellous picture quality, the night mode and ProRaw mode added a cherry on the top.
With iPhone 13, some upgrades such as a thicker camera bump, better low light pictures, sensor-shift stabilization & increased aperture for wide & ultra-wide lenses are expected to better the performance of the iPhone 12’s camera.
Also, the speculations suggest a diagonal placement of the cameras in the base variants, Apple iPhone 13 & 13 mini.
Apple Watch Series 7
Apart from the iPhone 13, the Apple Watch Series 7 happens to be the second most speculated product that may feature at the California Streaming Event on 14th September.
Even though reports suggested a couple of months delay in the new series 7 of Apple watches because of complex design and production issues still, hopefully, it may get unveiled to limited persons on 14th September.
With an increase of one millimetre compared to the Series 6, the Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to come in 41mm & 45 mm variants.
The Series 7 can come with a comparatively faster processor chip, flat display, and improved battery life, along with an increment in size.
Besides the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7, Airpods 3 is also on the cards.
All the speculations would finally subside on 14th September when the California Streaming Event would get telecasted, live from the Apple Park.
